Remarks
This is a common species in the upper bathyal of the European mainland, and has been well illustrated in Bouchet and Warén (1993, p 624–627). The multispiral protoconch denotes a planktotrophic development and facilitates the occurrence of the species on all four Lusitanian seamounts.
