Redescription. Colouration. Black. Eyes dark brown; first and second antennal segments (except their apex), ocelli, gyriform tubercles of anterior pronotal lobe, posterior two-thirds of posterior pronotal lobe, fore coxal cavity, one wide annulation on femora, two annulations on tibia, first and second tarsal segments and basal half of third tarsal segment, most area of corium (except a black triangular spot on apex); connexivum (except a black spot on each segment basally), mid ventral abdomen and the area near to connexivum ventrally yellow; last two antennal segments, posterior half of clavus and membrane brown. Setae inserted in fuscous part brown and others inserted in light part yellow especially on legs ( Figs 54, 210 View FIGURES 208–211 ).
Structure. Small, pilose. Head, pronotum, apical spine of scutellum, connexival margin, legs, basal anterior margin of corium and abdominal apex clothed with long golden shining setae; antennae with short and long setae; ventral abdomen with procumbent yellow setae. Head oblong, eyes big, prominent; anteocular portion a little longer than postocular portion; longitudinal depression between eyes deep and very irregular shaped, basal part thin and widest in middle; mandibular plate prominent, higher than clypeus; maxillary plate swollen, apex rounded, niping clypeus; clypeus thick, cylindrical; gena wide; transverse constriction before ocellar area wide, situated at same level than posterior margin of eye; postocular portion tumid; ocellar area big, occupying most part of postocular portion dorsally; rostrum short and thick, first visible segment a little longer than second; ventral margin of head nearly straight; first antennal segment curved outwards, about half of second, last two segments subequal in length ( Figs 54, 55 View FIGURES 55–63 ). Collar large, anterior margin nearly straight and ridged, processes not so prominent; anterior pronotal lobe shorter than posterior, with six symmetrical gyriform ridges, especially two centrally tumid and oblong, but not tridentate like in westermanni ; wrinkled posterior lobe flat in middle, with small pits on black part centrally, concave sub-bilaterally; pronotal humeral angles cone-shaped; discal area unarmed; posterior margin slightly concave ( Fig. 54). Scutellum concavely excavated centrally, wrinkled, apical spine long and thick. Connexivum of second abdominal segment with a marginal spine; connexivum slightly reflexed. Fossula spongiosa on pro- and mesotibiae short, not longer than one fourth of tibia; matetibia slightly curved. Male hemelytron surpassing abdominal apex. Parameres broadening from base to tip, apex with a dentate process, lateral side patulous ( Figs 58–60 View FIGURES 55–63 ); median process of pygophore long, apex sharp, with a median process ( Figs 56, 57 View FIGURES 55–63 ); basal plate strong, apex swollen; basal plate bridge slender; pedicel thick; dorsal phallothecal sclerite sclerotized strongly thickened in its distal half, its apex sharp; struts fused, asymmetrical, reaching distal part of phallosoma; lateral endosoma process developed, with a row of small sclerotized dents ( Figs 61–63 View FIGURES 55–63 ).
Measurements [in mm, ♂ (n=2)]. Body length 10.1–10.4; maximum width of abdomen 3.0–3.2; head length 1.2–1.3; length of anteocular part 0.35–0.4; length of postocular part 0.6; length of synthlipsis 0.4; interocellar space 0.10–0.15; length of antennal segments I–IV=0.95–1.0, 1.8–2.0, 2.4–2.7, 2.0; length of visible rostral segments I–III=0.75, 0.5, 0.4; length of anterior lobe of pronotum 0.7–0.8; length of posterior lobe of pronotum 1.3; maximum width of thorax 3.1–3.2; length of scutellum 1.1–1.3; length of hemelytron 7.3–7.5.
Type material. Syntypes, from India , preserved in Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet, Stockholm, Sweden .

Distribution in China. Hainan (Dongfang), Yunnan (Yuanyang) ( Fig. 64 View FIGURE 64 ).
Distribution outside China. India ( Stål 1863).
Remarks. This species is very similar to A. westermanni Reuter , but it is readily distinguished by the following characters: posterior two-thirds of posterior pronotal lobe yellow (vs. fully yellow in A. westermanni ); anterior pronotal lobe with two ridges centrally apically (vs. three ridges in A. westermanni ); connexivum of second abdominal segment with a big spine (vs. without such a spine in A. westermanni ); parameres wider and much curved centrally.
This species was listed by China (1940) without any comment, and by Hoffmann (1944) as doubtful record from China. Hsiao & Ren (1981) omitted this species. We have examined some specimens of this species from India at the BMNH and found that body size and colour patterns are variable. The further study on the related species is needed.
