The morphological information provided by Faraji (2006) and our measurements of the holotype of A. hystrix View in CoL (in square brackets) are provided subsequently. Dorsal shield of female mostly smooth, with lateral striae, 424 (410– 440) [460] long and 321 (305–330) [360] wide. Setal lengths: j1 26 (24–27) [26], j3 51 (48–57) [41], J5 8 (7–9) [6], Z4 100 (96–105) [80], Z5 107 (102–115) [85], s4 91 (88–93) [77], r3 9 (8–11) [9] and R1 5 (5–6) [3]; other setae minute. Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 63 (60–63) [56], st2–st2 75 (73–78) [78], st5–st5 121 (115–133) [128]. Ventrianal shield 145 (138–153) [151] long, 180 (170–188) [176] wide at level of Zv2 and 105 (98–112) [107] at anus level. Spermathecal calyx saccular, 20 (18–23) [14] long; atrium bulbous. Fixed cheliceral digit 43 (40–45) [42] long, with six teeth [apparently five]; movable digit 40 (38–42) [46] long, toothless [not possible to determine]. Distinct macrosetae only on leg IV, sharp-tipped; SgeIV 59 (55–63) [40], StiIV 44 (43–46) [30] and StIV 50 (50–52) [37] .
Distribution in Brazil. Acre ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015b), Amazonas ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015b), Bahia ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015a) and São Paulo (Castro & Moraes, 2010; Moraes et al., 2013).
Distribution elsewhere. Canada, Cuba, France and USA.
Remarks. The similarities between A. morgani and A. hystrix , observed in this comparison seems to concur with their synonymy, proposed by Lehman (1982), except for the presence of distinguishable reticulation in the area between J2 and S2 and the posteromedian area sided by Z4-Z5. Moraes et al. (2013) presented measurements of a single specimen from S„o Paulo identified as A. morgani , differing from the redescription by Chant & Hansell (1971) and of Faraji (2006) by having shorter j3 (34 according to Moraes et al., 2013 and as 51 according to both of those previous works); other measurements presented by Moraes et al. (2013) were quite similar to what was reported in those works. An apparent additional difference refers to the movable digit, cited as having “apparently three teeth” by Moraes et al. (2013) and as no teeth by the other authors. Additional specimens were not available for observation in the present work.
