Diagnosis. Frons brownish-yellow or orange-yellow; face and fronto-orbital plate yellow pollinose; antenna orange-yellow, postpedicel long, about 3.6 times as long as pedicel; palpus yellow; scutum dark brown; mid tibia with a shallow anteroventral notch (Fig. 20); male hind tarsus with third tarsomere armed with a posterodorsal lobe bearing a long dense fringe of hairs (Fig. 24); surstylus with a dense fringe of short hairs posterodorsally (Fig. 96). Comments. Crosskey (1962) redescribed the male and female and noted that this is one of the most easily recognized species of Pygophora because of the remarkable structure of the hind tarsus.
