Distribution

New records: Sakar Mt., Matochina vill., 30.04.2011, 2 w.; same place, 03.05.2019, 2 w., leg. ALG; East Rhodopes: Oreshino vill., 21.04.2012, 5 w., leg. ALG (Fig. 5 View Figure 5 ); Meden buk vill., 03.07.2014, 8 w., leg. ALG. All specimens were collected by a suction sampler. Detailed occurrence data: Lapeva-Gjonova and Borowiec (2022).

Notes

First record for Bulgaria. Monomorium monomorium occurs in the Mediterranean Region and it is the only outdoor-living ant species of the Monomorium genus in Bulgaria.
