DISTRIBUTION: Coast of N. California from Van Duzen River south to S. Sonoma Co. ( U.S.A.).
COMMENT: Elevated from subspecies of townsendii by Sutton and Nadler, 1974, Southwest. Nat., 19: 199-212.
