Roeselia yponomeutae Rondani, 1861
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1861e: 32 (key), 33 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: Rondani gave no type locality in his original description (1861e: 33) but presumably it is Parma (Italy) because he referred to observations made by himself.
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype ( MZUF: Box 15): Roeselia Desv. / yponomeutae Rnd. / 767.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Eurysthaea scutellaris (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1848) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 245) .
REMARKS: Rondani (1861e: 33) described Roeselia yponomeutae from just the female sex, without specifying the exact number of specimens, but giving a single measurement of length: “ Quamvis mas speciei ignotus … [Although the male of the species is unknown ...]”. Herting (1969: 195) reported a single female in the MZUF. We found one syntype in this study.
