DISTRIBUTION. — Dans les Antilles françaises, cette espèce est recensée uniquement en Guadeloupe ( Csuzdi & Pavlíček 2009). Amynthas corticis est une espèce pérégrine originaire d’Asie ( Fragoso et al. 1999a; Blakemore 2002; Chang et al. 2016). Bien que présente dans de nombreux systèmes agricoles et pastoraux tropicaux en Asie, Amérique du Sud et Afrique ( Fragoso et al. 1999a; Siddaraju et al. 2010; Bartz et al. 2014; Nxele et al. 2021), A. corticis n’a jusqu’à présent été observée qu’en milieu naturel en Guadeloupe ( Csuzdi & Pavlíček 2009). Nous pensons qu’il est probable de la retrouver dans les milieux agricoles des Antilles françaises, raison pour laquelle nous l’avons ajoutée à ce document.

DESCRIPTION

Espèce périchaetine à la pigmentation de couleur brune. Clitellum de coloration plus claire que le reste du corps en XIV-XVI, de forme lisse et continue. Un pore femelle en XIV. Deux pores mâles en XVIII. Présence possible de plusieurs marques génitales sur les segments VI à IX et autour des pores mâles en XVIII. Quatre paires de pores spermathécaux en position latérale en 5/6, 6/7, 7/8 et 8/9 ( Blakemore 2002; Chang et al. 2016). D’après Blackemore (2002) et Chang et al. (2016), longueur comprise entre 4.5 et 17 cm, nombre de segments entre 78 et 121 et diamètre entre 3 et 6 mm.

REMARQUE

A. corticis View in CoL a fait l’objet d’études pour être utilisé en vermiculture et en vermicompostage ( Blakemore 2000; Chaudhuri & Debnath 2020).
