Description:— Piper sugandhi var. brevipilis Ravindran, Babu & Naik (1993: 27) .
Notes:―According to Art. 46.2 of the ICN ( McNeill et al. 2012), the authorship of the name could remain the same.
Additional specimen seen (paratype):― INDIA. Western Ghats, Kerala, Wynad District, Vythiri, Sugandhagiri project area, Ravindran, Babu & Naik 638 (NRCS).
