Ganaspis are known to attack several families but often Drosophilidae View in CoL or Chloropidae ( Paretas-Martínez et al. 2013) View in CoL . Distribution is limited: North Island: AK, BP. South Island: MC. Records from the NZAC show specimens have been collected from kiwifruit orchards, reared from leaf mines in Clematis rehderiana View in CoL , and from Scaptomyza flava View in CoL ( Diptera View in CoL : Drosophilidae View in CoL ) pupae on turnips.
