Records in Mexico: State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Quintana Roo and Campeche.
Biogeographic province: Transmexican volcanic Belt. Sierra Madre Oriental. Yucatan Peninsula.
Habitat: Soil, litter and moss. Leaf litter ( Pinus cembroides ). Collected on epiphytes: Aechmea bracteata growing on Haematoxylum campechianum and Metopium brownei . Leaf litter under trees and bushes in asecondary semi-evergreen tropical forest.
