Compsolacon crenicollis ( Ménétriés, 1832)
Elater crenicollis Ménétriés, 1832: 156 .
Compsolacon crenicollis: Reitter, 1905: 6 . For more information, including synonyms, see Hayek (1973).
Distribution. Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Greece, Iran, Italy, Montenegro, Pakistan, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine ( Cate 2007, Pedroni & Platia 2010, Akhter et al. 2014).
Literature. Akhter et al. (2014: 118): first record from Pakistan, figures of male habitus and antenna [as Agrypnus ].
Remarks.Although Akhter et al. (2014) recorded this species from Pakistan, the images provided by the authors show significant differences from C. crenicollis in the shapes of pronotum, pronotal hind angles, and antennomeres. The imaged species treated in that study as C. crenicollis might be in fact C. triticumunis . Therefore, the presence of C. crenicollis in Pakistan should be confirmed by further data.
