Cimex sanguinipes Fabricius, 1781: 344 ; Asopus genei A. Costa, 1842: 299 ; Pentatoma rufipes Kato, 1933: 5 (non Linnaeus, 1758).
Distribution in Iran. Guilan ( Hoberlandt 1997; Linnavuori 2008), Northern Iran (no locality cited) ( Mohaghegh 2006), Iran (no locality cited) ( Rider 2006; Mohaghegh 2008; Péricart 2010).
General distribution. Trans Palearctic (i.e. Palearctic except Great Britain and the regions above 55° N and North Africa) (Zhao et al. 2013)
Comments. Predator of several and diverse butterflies and beetles ( Dusoulier & Lupoli 2006; Péricart 2010).
