Distribution in Iran. Ardabil ( Modarres Awal 1996b, 1997b), East Azarbaijan ( Modarres Awal 1997a; Havaskary et al. 2012), Fars, Khuzestan (Linnavuori 2012), Guilan, Zanjan ( Linnavuori 2008), Hormozgan ( Wagner 1968), Isfahan ( Hoberlandt 1997), Khorasan ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b, 2008; Linnavuori 2008), Mazandaran (Sakenin et al. 2008), Tehran ( Wagner 1968; Linnavuori 2008), Iran (no locality cited) ( Rider 2006; Ribes & Pagola Carte 2013).
General distribution. Asia from Asian part of Turkey, Caucasus, central Asia and Saudi Arabia.
Host plants. On Pinus sp. ( Pinaceae ) ( Modarres Awal 1996b, 1997b; Sakenin et al. 2008), Verbena officinalis ( Verbenaceae ) (Sakenin et al. 2008), alfalfa ( Mehneh et al. 2010). Also, in Azerbaijan lives on shrubs, in wet meadows, on halophytes or on cotton ( Gossypium spp. ) ( Malvaceae ) (Ribes & Pagola Carte 2013).
