Description – Measurements (in mm, n = 9): EW = 0.47 (0.44–0.50); TW = 0.47 (0.45– 0.51); PW = 0.51 (0.48–0.53); SW = 0.56 (0.55–0.60); AW = 0.61 (0.56–0.64); HL = 0.30 (0.28– 0.32); EL = 0.12 (0.11–0.12); TL = 0.08 (0.07–0.09); PL = 0.36 (0.35–0.38); SL = 0.51 (0.48–0.54); SC = 0.48 (0.45–0.51); FB = 1.22 (1.15–1.30); BL = 2.39 (2.09–2.83). Habitus as in Fig. 81 View Figs 80–82 . Head reddishdarkbrown, pronotummediumtodarkbrownwithslightorangishtint, elytra andabdomenslightlydarker, darkbrown. Legs, antennaeandmouthpartsmediumbrown toochre, apicesofmandiblesinfuscate. Head transversewithrounded, bulgingtemples justslightlywiderthaneyes. Clypeuswithveryscattered, minutepuncturesonly, with feebletracesofmicrosculptureandunevennesslaterallyonsurface. Epistomalsuturebetweentipsofsupraantennalprominencesoronlyalittlebehindimaginarylineconnecting them. Medialportionofoccipitalgroovebendinganteriorly, necklaterallywithtracesof coriaceousmicrosculpturewithisodiametriccells, mediallyonlywithtracesofit, mostly shiny. Vertexwithveryscattered, indefinite-borderedandvariouslysized (somelargeand deep) punctures; punctationneartemplesmuchdenserandobscurespostocularridge. Faintlongitudinalimpressionsrunningonbothsidesofvertexfromepistomalsutureto occipitalgroove, becomingmoremarkedposteriorly. Headsurfaceotherwiseshiny, withoutmicrosculpture. Pronotum withcomplete, thinmarginalbead. Surfaceshiny, without anymicrosculpturebutpuncturedlikehead, withscattered, indefinite-bordered, mostly ratherlargepits, slightlyumbilicate. Longitudinalmidlineunmarkedbutpuncturesmissingonabroadstripeonbothsidesandpartlyalonghindmargin. Onbothsidesofmidline middle-posterior 3/5 ofdiscslightlyimpressed. Elytra withdiscgentlyconvex, twolongitudinalimpressionsbehindscutellumextendingalongsuture. Epipleuralridgepresent onalmostentirelength. Thinmarginalbeadwithobscureconnectiontoepipleuralridge continuingalongposteriormargin, notreachingsuturalcorner, slightlycurvinganteriorly beforeit. Alongsutureveryfinemarginalbeadonlyconspicuousbecauseofdarkercolour. Elytralpunctationratherdeep, obscuredbyunevensurface, moreorlessequallyspaced, moderatelydense, missingonathin, slightlyelevatedstripealongsuture. Abdomen shiny andsmoothwithonlytinyinsertionpointsofsetaeandextremelyfaintcoriaceousmicrosculpturewithisodiametriccells. Distribution – CurrentlyonlyknownfromAngola, BurundiandtheD. R. Congo.

Etymology – NamedafterNarcisseLeleup (1912–2001), whomadeamajorcontributiontotheknowledgeofAfricanstaphylinidsandcollectedsomeoftheparatypes.

Remarks – TheAngolanspecimensaresomewhatlightercoloured, while theother 3 paratypesaredarker – thiscouldbeduetovariationorartifactof preservation.
