Diagnosis. Vertex yellow without spot. Prothorax entirely yellow. Forewing with 7 or 8 RA cells. Mediuncus long and thin, with deeply branched apex.

Description. Male. Body length 14.0–16.0 mm, forewing length 15.0– 18.5 mm, forewing width 3.8–4.8 mm.

Head. Generally yellow except one big black spot near the base of antennae ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 d). Flagellomeres 28– 30. Labrum and palpus yellow. Mandible yellow except outer and inner margin dark brown.

Thorax. Prothorax entirely yellow; posterior tubular section wrinkled with less than 10 grooves ( Fig. 17 View FIGURE 17 ). Prescutum black. Mesonotum yellow, with a pair of black longitudinal stripes. Metanotum similar to mesonotum, but most specimens with faded black stripes. Scutellum yellow. Pleural region of mesothorax yellow, except anterior margin of anepisternum black and posterior margin of katepisternum black; metathorax mostly yellow, except one short black stripe near median furrow. Fore leg mostly brown except coxa yellow; mid and hind legs yellow; tarsal claws dark brown, with 4 or 5 teeth. Wings elongated and narrow; hindwing similar to forewing, but a little shorter. Veins mostly brown, except Sc, R and A yellow in both wings, and base of R, M and Cu black in the forewing. Pterostigma reddish brown, elongated and narrow. Forewing with 7 or 8 RA cells, and 11 or 12 Rs branches.

Abdomen. Ground color yellow with black stripes. Tergite I with one black spot; tergites II to IV with one dark brown transverse stripe at posterior margin and one indistinct median stripe; tergites V to VIII with posterior margin brown; tergite IX without stripe. Sternites with one black stripe at posterior margin except sternites I, II and IX entirely yellow.

Male genitalia. Ectoproct slightly elongated, with more than 20 short thickened setae on the median sclerite. Gonarcus greatly curved. Pseudopenis long and thin, with a pair of small sclerites at the pseudopenial membrane ( Figs. 10, 11 View FIGURES 10 – 12 ). Mediuncus long and thin, with deeply branched apex.

Female. Body length 18.0 mm, forewing length 22.5 mm, forewing width 6.0 mm. Similar to male.

Female genitalia. Spermatheca slightly coiled, with distal section wider; base of fertilization canal duct narrow ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 10 – 12 ).

Material. 1 male, Xizang: Bomi, Weigong, 28.VII.1983, Yinheng Hang (Holotype); 1 male, Xizang: Bomi, Weigong, 20.VIII.1983, Yinheng Hang (Paratype); 1 male, Xizang: Bomi, Weigong, 2.VII.1983, Yinheng Hang (Paratype); 1 female, Xizang: Bomi, 1982, Yinheng Hang (Allotype).

Distribution. China (Xizang).

Remarks. This species can be easily distinguished from others by the entirely yellow prothorax.
