P. spinensis Chace, 1985

Description. Rostrum far overreaching antennal scale, armed dorsally throughout length with 13–24 teeth, including 2 or 3 on carapace posterior to level of orbital margin, posteriormost tooth with faint, incomplete basal suture, none with barbed tips, armed ventrally with 2539 teeth; abdomen typically with posteromesial tooth but without median dorsal carina on 3rd somite; eye very broadly subpyriform, maximum diameter nearly or quite 1/3 carapace length, ocellus subcircular, somewhat constricted at juncture with cornea; 3rd maxilliped with epipod, penultimate segment slightly shorter or longer than terminal segment; 2nd pereopods subequal with welldeveloped epipod, bearing 14–23 carpal articles ( Chace 1985).

Distribution. South China Sea and Philippines; at depths of 199–472 m ( Li 2006a)
