Type material. Holotype (male?): Madagascar, Mahafaly Plateau , 6.2 km ENE Itampolo, ex sifted litter BLF5758, B. Fischer, leg 2002 . Holotype is deposited in CAS .

Diagnosis. Pronotum broadly rounded in front; elytral interstriae with coarse granules or tubercles, interstrial setae erect, hair-like bristles.

Description, male? Length 1.0 mm, 2.2 × long as wide; colour reddish brown. Frons flattened, vestiture consisting of scattered, semirecumbent, soft setae as long as the scapus. Eyes separated above by 2.8–2.9 × their width. Antennal scapus small, rounded, with small tuft of setae as long as the funiculus; club with two transverse sutures, basal suture partly interrupted in middle half. Pronotum broadly rounded in front, asperate on anterior half, smooth and shiny on posterior half, vestiture consisting of hair- and bristle-like setae. Elytral interstriae strongly tuberculate, setae coarsely hair-like, in regular rows, setae separated within rows by slightly more than their length. Protibiae with two lateral and apical denticles.

Etymology. Latin nominative adjective meaning warty, referring to the coarse granules on most of the elytral interstriae.

Distribution and Biology. Madagascar. Only known from the type locality in the southern arid zone where a single specimen was collected by leaf litter sifting.
