Material examined. Pohang-si (36°2′51″N, 129°45′ 19.01″E), Korea; collected from shallow littoral by T Karanovic on 30 March 2013 GoogleMaps .
Deposition. NIBRIV0000904519.
World distribution. Scandinavia, Micronesia, and Korea.
Diagnosis. Female 0.56 mm long. Caudal rami ( Fig. 15A View Fig ) half as long as wide. Second exopodal segment of antenna ( Fig. 15B View Fig ) with one seta. First endopodal segment of first leg ( Fig. 15C View Fig ) 1.2 times as long as exopod. Second to fourth legs ( Fig. 15D, E View Fig ) armature formula (exopod/endo- pod): 0.1.123/1.1.121; 0.1.123/1.1.221; 0.1.223/1.1.121. Fifth leg ( Fig. 15F View Fig ) with prominent space between two longest setae on baseoendopod; exopod twice as long as wide, with two apical setae on prominent setophores.
Remarks. Described from Norway by Sars (1911), found in Sweden by Lang (1948), and finally in Ifalik Atoll, Micronesia by Vervoort (1964). This is the first record in the Northern Pacific. Gómez (2020) transferred it into a newly established and monotypic genus Robertgurneyella .
