• Medium-sized to large prosimians with elongated, powerful hindlimbs, short, broad snout, large eyes, elongated hands and feet with nails, and small ears largely concealed by fur and long tail (except for Indri ).

• Tropical humid, dry, lowland, and montane forests.
• 3 genera, 19 species, 19 taxa.
• 2 species Critically Endangered, 8 species Endangered, 2 species Vulnerable; none Extinct since 1600.
