Distribution: Venezuela (Amazonas, Bolívar), Guyana, Brazil (Roraima, Amazonas), Roraima-Duida- Neblina formations, on Precambrian sandstone and quartzite tepuis.
Synapomorphies: Small, delicate ferns. Rhizomes creeping or ascending, covered in scales. Leaves 1–4 pinnate, lamina 3–4 cell-layers thick, stomata absent, chloroplasts only in epidermis cells. Sporangia borne in receptacles and enclosed in a bivalved indusium. Spores strongly verrucate.
