Remarks. This specimen was assigned to Staphylinoidea by Gersdorf (1969) who suggested its possible affinities to Silphinae sensu Cai et al. (2022) (at that time Silphidae ) (genus Ptomascopus Kraatz, 1876 ). Gersdorf (1969) interpreted the specimen to have highly reduced elytra however this seems to be due to preservation. The specimen has since been reported as the extant species Euboeus mimonti Boieldieu, 1865 ( Tenebrionidae ) ( Nabozhenko et al. 2023).
