Canthidium lentum Erichson, 1847: 109 View in CoL [transferred to Neocanthidium View in CoL by Vulcano & Pereira (1967: 591); transferred to Canthidium (Canthidium) View in CoL by Martínez & Halffter (1986a: 28); here transferred to the subgenus Neocanthidium View in CoL ]. Type locality: Peru (“ Republica Peruana ”). Type material: According to Harold (1867b), at least one syntype at ZMHB (ex Erichson collection). Distribution: Widely distributed throughout the Amazon region (Martínez & Halffter 1986a).
