Type material. CHINA, Anhui Province: Holotype male from Huangshan City, Huangshan , 30.15°N, 118.16°E, 1284 m, 20 October 2013, J. Liu & Y. Zhong leg. ( CBEE, LJ01725 ) GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 2 males, 5 females, with same data as for holotype ( CBEE, LJ01726 – LJ01732 ) GoogleMaps .
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, Huangshan (= Huang Mountain); adjective.
Diagnosis. P. huangensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to P. lushanensis by E long and thin, its apical part acicular, RTA simple, the long tubeshaped copulatory ducts and spermathecae, but can be distinguished by the following characters: 1) EP thinner; 2) Anterior margins of LL almost straight (without EP, anterior margins of LL U-shaped in P. lushanensis ).
MALE (LJ01725): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 7.7–9.3, DS length 4.1, width 3.7, OS length 4.6, width 3.4. Eyes: AME 0.16, ALE 0.25, PME 0.20, PLE 0.23, AME–AME 0.15, AME–ALE 0.10, PME– PME 0.23, PME–PLE 0.31, AME–PME 0.28, ALE–PLE 0.26, CH AME 0.33, CH ALE 0.25. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121; Fe I–II 323, III–IV 322; Pa I–III 101, IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 7.3 (2.2, 1.0, 1.1, –, 1.9); I 16.3 (5.1, 1.4, 5.0, 3.5, 1.3); II 20.6 (5.7, 1.7, 6.1, 5.0, 2.1); III 13.8 (4.4, 1.0, 3.9, 3.2, 1.3);
IV 16.8 (5.4, 1.0, 4.2, 4.8, 1.4). Leg formula: II-IV-I-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 23 denticles.
Palp ( Figs 121A–C View FIGURE 121 ): As in diagnosis. E arising from T at 8:00–9:00 o’clock position, basally broad. EP long. Spermophor distinct submarginally on retrolateral T in ventral view and prolatero-proximally in prolateral view as narrow U-turn. RTA arising medially on Ti; dorsal margin with bulge, distal tip with small hump in retrolateral view.
Colouration ( Figs 123A–B View FIGURE 123 ): DS light yellow with dark spots and marbled pattern. Striae distinctly marked. OS dorsally reddish-brown with irregular yellow pattern; ventrally with several irregular reddish-brown spots.
FEMALE (LJ01727): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 7.8–9.3, DS length 4.1, width 3.7, OS length 4.5, width 3.2. Eyes: AME 0.15, ALE 0.23, PME 0.17, PLE 0.20, AME–AME 0.13, AME–ALE 0.10, PME–PME 0.15, PME–PLE 0.25, AME–PME 0.21, ALE–PLE 0.19, CH AME 0.26, CH ALE 0.20. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–II 323, III–IV 322; Pa I–III 101, IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 4.8 (1.4, 0.8, 1.1, –, 1.5); I 12.5 (3.8, 1.5, 3.6, 2.7, 0.9); II 15.5 (4.3, 1.6, 4.5, 3.8, 1.3); III 10.5 (3.3, 1.2, 3.1, 2.2, 0.7); IV 12.7 (4.0, 1.0, 3.4, 3.2, 1.1). Leg formula: II-IV-I-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 17 denticles.
Epigyne ( Figs 122A–C View FIGURE 122 ): As in diagnosis. EF wider than long, with trilobate anterior margin and with AB. Anterior margins of LL only slightly bent. FW with inner margin lobed, IDS with spherical turning point medially close to anterior margins of LL, S getting continuously broader posteriorly, FD arising postero-laterally, slightly S-shaped.
Colouration ( Figs 123C–D View FIGURE 123 ): As in male, generally darker, but OS dorsally with more yellow pattern.
Distribution. China (Anhui Province).
