Type material. CHINA, Yunnan Province: Holotype female from Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture , Luechun County, Martyr Cemetery , 22.99°N, 102.45°E, 1934 m, 30 October 2015, Y. Zhong & Y. Zhu leg. ( CBEE, LJ2154 ) GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 3 females, with same data as for holotype ( CBEE, LJ2155 LJ2156 ) GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific name is dedicated to Mr Renyong Zuo for his kind help on our Sparassidae collection; name in genitive case.

Diagnosis. The female of P. zuoi Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. resembles that of P. wulaoensis spec. nov. by a similar arrangement of LL and median septum including the lateral bulge of LL. It can be diagnosed by: 1) Anterior margins of LL U-shaped; 2) Sclerotised parts of LL kidney-shaped, bent at right angle (LL margins V-shaped, sclerotised part of IDS roughly longitudinal, almost parallel in P. wulaoensis spec. nov.).

FEMALE (LJ2154): Measurements: Medium sized. Body length 10.8–11.4, DS length 5.4, width 5.0, OS length 5.7, width 3.9. Eyes: AME 0.18, ALE 0.33, PME 0.26, PLE 0.31,AME–AME 0.16,AME–ALE 0.07, PME– PME 0.20, PME–PLE 0.34, AME–PME 0.27, ALE–PLE 0.23, CH AME 0.39, CH ALE 0.31. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–III 323, IV 331; Pa I–IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 2026, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 7.8 (2.5, 1.1, 1.5, –, 2.7); I 20.2 (5.8, 2.3, 5.5, 5.1, 1.5); II 24.2 (6.6, 2.5, 6.9, 6.0, 2.2); III 17.5 (5.3, 2.0, 4.8, 4.3, 1.1); IV 20.8 (6.2, 1.7, 5.3, 5.7, 1.9). Leg formula: II-IV-I-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 17 denticles.

Epigyne ( Figs 281A–C View FIGURE 281 ): As in diagnosis. EF almost twice as wide as long, AB indistinct, but long, wide at their base, fragmented. Posterior margins of LL with lateral bulge. FW well developed, covering most part of the IDS, its posterior part covered by LL.

Colouration ( Figs 282C–D View FIGURE 282 ): DS brown with gray marks. Fovea and striae distinctly marked, with dark hairs. OS dorsally reddish brown, with lots of yellow spots, ventrally yellow, with several brown dots.
