Distribution and habitat.

Endemic to Mediterranean shrublands in the Levant (northern Israel, likely also Lebanon and Syria).

Flight period.

Late February to mid-April.

Flower preferences.

Polylectic, favouring flowering trees and shrubs such as Sapindaceae ( Acer ), Rosaceae ( Prunus , Pyrus ) and Rhamnaceae ( Pisanty et al. 2022 b) .
