Neotype (Boufford in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 69: 854. 1983): Herb. Linn. No. 4.9 ( S) .

Current name: Circaea lutetiana L. var. canadensis L. View in CoL ( Onagraceae ).

Note: Although Boufford treated 4.9 (S) as the lectotype, there are some doubts as to whether this collection was available to Linnaeus in 1753. However, in the absence of any original material, this is treated as a neotype.
