Material examined. 2520 Visund VI ref Reg11; 61.2353°N–2.6396°E; 312 m; 03.06.2002; one specimen. 3940 Askeladd Beta SA–07; 71.4758°N–20.4379°E; 275 m; 27.06.2007; two specimens.
Diagnosis. Antenna short, not reaching first chaetiger; cylindrical with rounded tip. Secondary ciliary organs present. Three prebranchial segments. Dorsal podial lobes of chaetiger 1 clearly shorter than those of remaining prebranchial chaetigers. Branchiae numbering up to 26 pairs; erect, longer than body width and bearing a long filamentous tip in posterior branchial region. Modified notochaetae absent. Neuropodial capillaries clearly thicker than notopodial ones. Modified neurochaetae gradually tapering, terminal spine as continuation of tip or absent.
Distribution. Eastern Atlantic, from North Sea close to Norway ( Hartley 1984) to Portugal ( Aguirrezabalaga & Gil 2008).
