Type host: Pycnonotus xanthopygos (Ehrenberg) ( Passeriformes : Pycnonotidae ). Type locality: Jordan.

Additional material. Three females (NPF) and 2 females (PF) from Pycnonotus goiavier (Scopoli) ( Passeriformes : Pycnonotidae ), PHILIPPINES: Romblon Prov., Sibuyan Isl. 1.5 km. S., 1.25 km. E. Magdiuang, Tampayan, 28 May 1989, coll. S. M. Goodman, all material in FMNH.

Host range and distribution. Oligoxenous species associated with the bulbuls of the genus Pycnonotus ( Passeriformes : Pycnonotidae ): P. barbatus (Desfontaines) from Kenya ( Klimovicova et al. 2014), P. goiavier (Scopoli) [new host] from Philippines (present paper), and P. xanthopygos (Ehrenberg) from Jordan ( Glowska et al. 2007).
