Diagnosis. Pygofer process ( Figs 7–9 View FIGURES 1–14 ) with a long broad subapical process directed ventrad; apex weakly produced posterad, subacute. Aedeagus ( Figs 13, 14 View FIGURES 1–14 ) shaft with pair of lateral processes near midlength, directed dorsolaterally, not surpassing aedeagus apex.
Description. Length 5.6–5.7mm (male). Head ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–14 ) with clypeus narrow, slightly wider basally than median length. Front femur PD row with three sparse long setae. Hind tibial rows PD, AD, and AV with 14–15, 10, and 16 macrosetae, respectively, PV row beginning on basal third, setae of median third homogeneous in length, setae in apical third alternating short and long and ending in two short setae. Other characters as in the generic diagnosis (Dai & Dietrich 2015).
Coloration. As in the generic diagnosis (Dai & Dietrich 2015).
Male terminalia. Sternite VIII ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–14 ) with posterolateral margins slightly concave; posterior margin produced posterad; apex narrow and rounded. Pygofer ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1–14 ), in dorsal view, with inner posterior angles rounded; in lateral view ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1–14 ) with ventral margin expanded ventrally and rounded; ventral process ( Figs 7–9 View FIGURES 1–14 ) with small dorsal and ventral lobes near base; ventral margin with long, broad process directed ventrad, slightly directed internally inventral view; apex weakly produced posterad, subacute. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1–14 ), in ventral view, with numerous setae distributed along posterolateral margin and few setae on ventral surface, near lateral margin; medial margin almost straight; lateral margin rounded apically; posterior margin almost straight, with small projection near posterolateral angle. Connective ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 1–14 ) with stem ca. two times longer than arms, slightly broadened apically; posterolateral angle slightly excavated. Style ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 1–14 ), in dorsal view, apophysis with basolateral lobe large, rounded, projected laterally; group of setae on dorsal surface, basally near medial margin and on ventral surface, posterior to basolateral lobe; distal portion elongate, approximately straight; apex truncated. Aedeagus ( Figs 13, 14 View FIGURES 1–14 ) dorsal apodeme with pair of elongate processes, weakly sclerotized basally and membranous apically, as long as shaft, directed dorsad; shaft with pair of lateral processes near midlength, directed dorsolaterally, not surpassing shaft apex; apex constricted subapically in lateral view and flattened laterally in posterior view, without processes. Other characters as in the generic diagnosis (Dai & Dietrich 2015).
Female unknown.
Etymology. The specific epithetis in honor of H. Derrick Blocker for his contribution to the systematics of leafhoppers, especially Iassinae .
Material examined. Holotype male: GoogleMaps " Brasil, Maranhão, Caxias GoogleMaps ,\ Res. Ecol. Inhamum\ 04°53'30"S 43°24'53"W \ 15.IV.2018, sweep,\ A.C. Domahovski leg." (DZUP). Paratypes: 16: same data of holotype. ( DZUP) GoogleMaps .
Remarks. The new species is very similar to Daveyoungana collosa Blocker & Webb, 1992 and D. longibrachia sp. nov. in having the ventral process of the pygofer with a process at the midlength of the ventral margin and the aedeagus with a pair of processes near the midlength and without apical or subapical processes. This species can be easily recognized based on broad and long ventral pygofer process and dorsolaterally directed median processes of the aedeagus that are shorter than the shaft apex.
