Worker.-Length 5 lines. Obscure black ; shining and thinly covered with a fine sericeous pile 5 the mouth, anterior margin of the face, the scape at the base and apex beneath, and the flagellum beneath, rufo-testaceous ; the articulations of the joints of the legs, the anterior tibiae and tarsi, rufo-testaceous. The first node, and the petiole of the abdomen, red ; the node elevated anteriorly ; the second segment globular, the extreme apex testaceous.
This species is from Columbia, and I think must be the same as that described by Guerin. 1 have only seen the single specimen which is in my own Collection.
