Material: 06.09.2019, Taşucu, Levantine Sea, muddy sand with shell fragments, 25 m, 1spm + 1 sh. ( ESFM-GAS /2019-2 ) .
Remarks: M. sandrii has a paucispiral protoconch and a teleoconch sculpture consists of axial ribs only (on the body whorl 11 ribs), which are orthocline with prosocline lower ends. Deep posterior sinus and thick labial varix. The species is a quite similar to M. paciniana by its shape and color pattern, from which it can easily be distinguished by its paucispiral protoconch.
Distribution: Eastern Atlantic Ocean (WoRMS Editorial Board 2020) and Mediterranean Sea ( GBIF 2020). Turkish coasts: Levantine Sea ( GBIF 2020) and Aegean Sea ( GBIF 2020).
