40. Notylia leucantha Salazar Chávez (1999: 9) View in CoL . Notylia multiflora Hooker (1844: 316) , nom. illeg.
Type:— MEXICO. s. loc., ex hort., s.d., Duke of Badford s.n. (lectotype, designed by Salazar Chávez (1999: 9): original illustration published in the protologue by Hooker 1844: t. 10).
Notes: — Hooker (1844) described N. leucantha based on a specimen grown in the garden of the Duke of Bedford, without indicating a holotype in the protologue that was not located and apparently not preserved. Salazar Chávez (1999) designated the illustration published in the protologue by Hooker, prepared from the original live plant, as a lectotype. He also designated the name Notylia leucantha as a replacement name for N. multiflora Hooker (1844: 316) , it being the illegitimate name by latter homonymy of N. multiflora Lindley (1825 : sub t. 930).
