Type:— BRAZIL. Amazonas [“Amazone”]: s. loc., 1865, J. Linden s.n. (not found).

Notes: — Linden (1882) published N. amazonica without description, diagnosis or nomenclatural type, and it was considered to be a species known only by name (Cogniaux 1904). Due to the lack of a description, it is not possible to correlate the name to a biological entity. Therefore, no type designation is possible or required ( Turland et al. 2018: Art. 6.3).
