= Musca elongata Fabricius, 1794: 338 . Lectotype: male (UZMC), by designation of McFadden, (1972a: 125). Type locality: “Sierra Leon ” (corrected to “America meridionali” in Fabricius 1805: 257). Preoccupied, primary homonym of Musca elongata Müller, 1764 and Musca elongata Fabricius, 1787 .
