( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 )

Description of holotype (male). Length 4.02, width 2.83 mm. Form elongate oval, widest at middle of elytra, flattened dorsoventrally ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 C). General color reddish brown, thorax and abdomen dark brown medially ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A, B). Outline of pronotum and elytron discontinuous. Antenna, mouthparts, hypomera, epipleura and legs reddish brown. Clypeus and frons joined at abrupt angle. Pronotum translucent; finely, densely punctured, punctures uniform in size; pubescence of semidecumbent yellowish hairs; with black spot at base and two small black transverse spots in the middle ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 D). Elytra reddish brown with a black large spot in the base, extending 2/3 to the total length of the elytra ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A). Elytral punctures coarse, dense, slightly larger than on pronotum and similarly dense, uniform in size. Metaventrite finely, sparsely punctured medially and anteriorly; coarsely, densely punctured laterally and posteriorly with punctures large, often confluent. Each puncture with long, yellow, decumbent seta. Abdominal ventrites coarsely punctured, punctures separated by about twice a diameter, punctures becoming coarser laterally and on last ventrite. First abdominal ventrite with postcoxal line extending beyond middle of ventrite ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 E). Genitalia with basal lobe shorter than paramere, lateral margin slightly thickened, parameres slightly curved in lateral view ( Figs. 3 View FIGURE 3 G, H); sipho simple, apex nearly membranous, unmodified ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 F).

Female. Length 3.93, width 2.72 mm. Similar to male in all aspects externally. Genitalia with genital plates not elongate, styli with setae; spermatheca elongate, unmodified ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 I).

Etymology. This species is named in honor of Guillermo González, one of the most enthusiastic Coccinellidae researchers.

Discussion. Oryssomus guillermo sp. nov. resembles O. calix sp. nov., O. guyanensis sp. nov. and O. unimaculatus in the color pattern, but differs in the shape of the dorsal black spot and male and female genitalia.
