Lectotype (Lassen in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 474. 1997): Herb. Linn. No. 905.22 ( LINN) .

Current name: Lathyrus annuus L. View in CoL ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Meikle (Fl. Cyprus 1: 569. 1977) indicated material at LINN as type, but did not distinguish between sheets 905.22 and 905.23. Other authors (e.g. Jafri in Jafri & El-Gadi, Fl. Libya 86: 286. 1980) indicated both of these collections as the type. However, the two collections are evidently not part of a single gathering so Art. 9.15 does not apply, and Lassen’s later type choice is therefore the earliest effective typification.
