DISTRIBUTION: Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Lesotho, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia View in CoL , Nigeria, Saint Helena View in CoL , Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, South Africa, Tanzania, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe. Also reported in Oriental: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan; Palaearctic: Afghanistan, China, Japan, Korea, Spain. LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants include four Ebenaceae View in CoL species (i.e. Diospyros abyssinica (Hiern) View in CoL F.White, D. kaki View in CoL L.f., D. melanoxylon Roxb.
