COMMON NAME (S): Gold Bordered Prince. SYNONYM(S): None. IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE). DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Malawi, Mozambique,
Republic of Congo, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kitwe, in Copperbelt Province ; Kafue, in Lusaka Province ; Mpika, in Muchinga Province ; Mporokoso, in
Northern Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants of the taxon include: two Phyllanthaceae species ( Uapaca kirkiana M̧ll.Arg.and U. nitida M̧ll.
Arg.), one Fabaceae species ( Bauhinia reticulata DC. ) and one Caesalpiniaceae species ( Brachystegia
sp.) in Gabon ( Rougeot 1962); one Proteaceae species ( Protea sp. ) and one Dipterocarpaceae species
( Monotes glaber Sprague ) in unnamed African countries ( Pinhey 1972b). According to the African
Moths (2019) website, the following are larval foodplants of the taxon; two Phyllanthaceae species
( Uapaca kirkiana M̧ll.Arg. and U. nitida M̧ll.Arg.), three Fabaceae species ( Bauhinia reticulata DC. , Laburnum sp. and Brachystegia sp. ), one Proteaceae species ( Protea sp. ), and one Dipterocarpaceae species ( Monotes glaber Sprague ) ( African Moths 2019). No specific host plants or larval foodplants of the taxon are reported for Zambia.
