COMMON NAME (S): Grass moth or Crambid Snout Moth. SYNONYM(S): None.
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Upper Luangwa Valley, in Muchinga Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): The cereal crop rice, Oryza sativa L. (Family Poaceae ) is indicated as host plant of the taxon in Nigeria and Sierra Leone ( Lewvanich 1981). The African Moths (2019) webpage indicates that rice is the larval foodplant of the taxon.
