Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6‒11 ). Wingspan 10.5‒13.5 mm. Macrobathra nomaea differs from its congeners by having an almost uniformly banded subbasal fascia; in the male genitalia by the left valva subparallel to before apex and the right valva produced medially on the inner margin, and the relatively short socius narrowed to pointed apex ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 18‒23 ); in the female genitalia by the ductus bursae with posterior half sclerotized and subparallel, and the corpus bursae with a pair of large signa ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 34‒39 ).

Distribution. China (Anhui, Beijing, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Hebei, Henan, Hong Kong, Hubei, Liaoning, Shandong, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Tianjin, Yunnan, Zhejiang), Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia.
