Orugas en mayo, en encinares y masas mixtas de quercíneas de la mitad norte provincial ( RIESGO ORDÓÑEZ, 1929; EXTREMERA et al., 2004; PÉREZ GUERRERO et al., 2008). Causante de plagas en el pasado ( RIESGO ORDÓÑEZ, 1929), hoy día se le concede poca importancia defoliadora ( NAVARRO CERRILLO & FERNÁNDEZ REBOLLO, 2000).
