6. Syringophilopsis kirgizorum Bochkov, Mironov et Kravtsova, 2000
This species was reported from three host species: the European Greenfinch Carduelis chloris (L.) from Kirghizia and England ( Bochkov et al. 2000; Nattress & Skoracki 2007), the Desert Finch Rhodospiza obsoleta ( Lichtenstein) (Fringillidae) from Kirghizia ( Bochkov et al. 2000) and the European Goldfinch Carduelis carduelis (Fringillidae) from Poland (Skoracki 2004b).
Material examined. From quills (primaries) of the European Greenfinch Carduelis chloris (L.): 9 females, 3 males, 7 nymphs (Syr. 45B); Jordan (new locality), Al-Dhleil, 0 9 March 2002, leg. M. Skoracki. From quill (secondary) of the Eurasian Linnet Carduelis cannabina (L) (new host): 1 female (Syr. 188); Jordan, Al-Dhleil, 0 7 March 2002, leg. M. Skoracki.
