Material examined. Holotype (female): Vietnam: ChamChu N. R., (22°12'N, 105°6'0''E), 8–12.vii.2015, leg. J. Constant & J. Bresseel (I.G.: 33.092)—(Brussels RBINS). GoogleMaps

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to L. phetchaburi Gor. 2003 and L. vietnamensis Gor. 2003 . From the latter species, L. tenuis sp. nov. differs, apart from larger size, by a distinctly wider depression of seventh abdominal sternite extending over one third or more of sternite width ( Fig. 73C View FIGURE 73 ), wile in L. vietnamensis it extends over less than one third of sternite width; in L. phetchaburi that depression is even narrower. Moreover, the reduced eight sternite is even less protruding behind the hind margin of the seventh sternite and furrowed in midline while entire in both other species.

Description. Rather short and stout species ( Fig. 73A View FIGURE 73 ). Head: Face ovoid; forehead with distinct transverse furrows and fine riffles and scattered impressed dots; fastigium verticis wider than scapus, separated by a transverse suture from fastigium frontis; ocelli distinct; subocular furrow wide and shallow ( Fig. 71I View FIGURE 71 ). Abdominal tergites two and three without stridulatory pegs.

Wings just covering abdomen, not reaching hind knees ( Fig. 71H View FIGURE 71 ). Tegmen rather narrow; left tegmen with 13 parallel post-subcostal veins; there are several fusion, division and connection events between radius, media and cubitus anterior resulting in a meshwork of veins; cubitus posterior undivided, free throughout; with 7 anal veins, A1+A2 and A3+A4 with a short common stem, the last branch weak.

Legs: Fore coxa with a large spine at fore margin; fore and mid femora unarmed; fore and mid tibiae with four pairs of large ventral spines and one pair of smaller ventral spurs; hind femur with 13–14 external and 10–12 internal spines on ventral margins; hind tibia with spaced spines on both dorsal margins, ventral margins with one pre-apical spine each; with 3 apical spurs on both sides.

Coloration. General color brown with black marks; vertex black; pronotum black with 5 larger and some small brown spots; brown with black bands on femora and tibiae, black marks in genicular areas, on tibiae and tarsi. Face dark reddish brown, anterior area of fastigium verticis, part of fastigium frontis, antennal scrobae, antennae, mandibles and labrum black; ocelli yellow; lower part of clypeus yellow with a roughly TT-shaped black spot; maxillary palpi light yellow. Tegmen orange brown, at tip semi-transparent white, very base black, veins dark reddish brown to black; hind wing semi-transparent white, main veins dark brown, cross-veins brown.

Male unknown.

Female. Seventh abdominal sternite transverse, wider than preceding sclerite, with latero-apical margins rounded; surface in middle of basal area with a little curved transverse bulge, in more than apical half with a large medial groove with smooth shining surface and provided before hind margin with a pair of small shallow oval grooves, lateral margins of groove gradually raised into a styliform process on each side, apical margin of groove faintly convex. Subgenital plate very short and wide, base covered by seventh sternite; on both lateral ends with a small cone, in midline furrowed; leaving base of ovipositor nearly uncovered. Subgenital plate with a distinct, little compressed, apically rounded coniform process in middle ( Fig. 73C View FIGURE 73 ). Ovipositor falcate, most strongly upcurved in subbasal area, margins gradually approaching towards apex; tip subacute ( Fig. 73B View FIGURE 73 ).

Measurements (1 female).—body w/wings: 32; body w/o wings: 29; pronotum: 7; tegmen: 21.5; hind femur: 17; antenna: 105; ovipositor: 11.5 mm.

Etymology. The new species is named for its rather narrow wings; from Latin tenuis (narrow).
