1. * Leprocaulon adhaerens (K. Knudsen, Elix & Lendemer) Lendemer & Hodkinson
Thallus leprose, granular; margin diffuse, lobes absent; medulla absent, but older thalli forming a lower necral layer of gelatinized granules; soredia abundant, fine to medium, 40–100 μm diam., projecting hyphae absent, but frequently with thin colourless hyphae acting as anchors or rhizines; soredia clumped together.
Chemistry: Pannarin and zeorin (major to trace) and sometimes traces of atranorin. K−, C−, KC−, Pd+ orange.
Ecology and Distribution: Earlier this species was reported from North America, growing over rocks and soil. In India it is a new record for the country and was found growing over rough bark between altitudes of 150–3100 m.
