Morphologically and anatomically Leprocaulon pseudoarbuscula is similar to L. arbuscula but both the species differs in chemistry.
Chemistry: Thamnolic, squamatic, baeomycesic and barbatic acids. K-, C-, KC+ light yellow, PD-.
Distribution: The species is reported from Australia, Japan, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Western Samoa and Taiwan. In India the species grows on rough bark between altitudes of 1200–2200 m.
