This taxon has only one species, from the Dominican Republic: Sierratettix carinatus Perez-Gelabert, Hierro and Otte, 1998 ( Fig. 15 View Figure 15 ). Its main distinguishing character relative to the other Neotropical cladonotines is its slightly hook-like over the head anterior margin of pronotum in dorsal view, which is more protruding than Eleleus ( Perez-Gelabert et al. 1998) ( Fig. 15A View Figure 15 : arrow).
