Pachylaelaps cordiformis var. flava Lombardini, 1941: 194 . Type locality: Ethiopia.

Notes. We have provisionally placed this species in Onchodellus , based only on its phoresy on a scarabaeid beetle. We believe that phoresy does not occur in Pachylaelaps .
