DICOPOMORPHA Ogloblin, 1955 View in CoL View at ENA
( Figs 107–111 View FIGURES 107–109 View FIGURES 110, 111 )
Dicopomorpha Ogloblin, 1955b: 387 View in CoL . Type species: Dicopomorpha macrocephala Ogloblin, 1955 View in CoL , by original designation. See Huber et al. (2020) for generic synonyms and their type species.
Diagnosis. Occiput without lines, sulci or carinae except for a median transverse sulcus of variable length ( Fig. 107b View FIGURES 107–109 ) just above foramen; mandibles when closed overlapping medially ( Fig. 107 View FIGURES 107–109 ), each with 2 small apparently equal teeth; female antenna with funicle 7-segmented and fu 2 about equal to fu 1 or fu 3 ( Fig. 108 View FIGURES 107–109 ); fore wing behind venation with posterior margin forming a slight but distinct lobe ( Fig. 109 View FIGURES 107–109 ).
Discussion. Dicopomorpha belongs to the Alaptus group of genera. In the Afrotropical region this group also includes Alaptus , Callodicopus , Dicopus and Litus . Dicopomorpha appears to be most similar to Callodicopus but the vertexal trabecula is absent. Dicopomorpha differs from Dicopus by the head ventral to lower eye margin quadrate, not narrowing so appreciably ventral to eyes ( Fig. 107 View FIGURES 107–109 ), the mandibles crossing medially when closed, and the fore wing just distal to venation wider.
Afrotropical hosts. Unknown.
