Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Oman ( Gusenleitner 2005; Monks et al. 2019), Saudi Arabia ( Guichard 1986), United Arab Emirates ( Gusenleitner 2010), Yemen (including Sokotra) ( Kirby 1900, 1903 both as Eumenes granti Kirby, 1900 ; Kohl 1906 as E. granti ; Giordani Soika 1974; Zalat et al. 1993; Gusenleitner 2007, 2013; Madl 2018 as Delta lepeletierii ).

Extralimital distribution: from SW Asia to several parts of Africa, Cyprus.

Remarks: Since there is no clear evidence in the work itself that the specific name was misspelled there (and the same spelling was also used in the third part of Saussure’s work), the original spelling is maintained.
